How safe is my shipment during the transit?
The railways has a strict policy of not allowing loading & unloading processes on all stations. Only a few pre-determined stations are permitted to perform and handle long haul shipments, ensuring complete safety of the shipment during transit.
Does shipment size matter?
According to policy of Indian Railways, any package larger than 100*100*75 cm in size or a single parcel weighing more than 100kg would be considered as double. Also the railway doesn’t have mechanical handling. Any single parcel weighing more than 300kg becomes difficult to manage. Also, the railways parcel compartment door size is 7 x 4 feet.
Do you provide transit insurance?
As a contract service provider there is no contractual liability covered for transit insurance. However, as a multi-modal, registered firm Zoelink Logistics can provide either the seller or buyer with the necessary COF (Certificate of Fact) through which the customer can obtain their insurance to cover any damages or pilferages, if it occurs.
We at Zoelink Logistics, have partnered with an insurance provider to cover multi-modal transportation (rail, road, air). It primarily cover pilferages, handlings, accidents and similar instances with a competitive premium.
How different are you from other parcel services?
We are cost effective, eco-friendly and time bound. We have a reserved space facility for our clients who book in advance. For Example: Sending a cargo from Delhi to Guwahati by road takes 6 to 7 days, but a train’s average travel time between Delhi to Guwahati is just 35 hours.
